He holds the position of Director in CPR Hotel Holding, Mall Suites Express and Surf Beach Motel. He is also the shareholder in a range of companies including RNG Investments Ltd, Tolaga Investments Ltd, GMT Property Ltd, Sayani Realty Pte Ltd, Sayani Holdings Pte Ltd, Sayani Investments Pte Ltd, Agro Wirana Pte Ltd, Exchange International Pte Ltd, International Remittance Pte Ltd, Exchange and Finance Fiji Pty Ltd which are companies based in Singapore, Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.
Robbie Owaijan

Graduated with a Diploma in Hospitality Management, Robbie has more than twenty years of experience in the Hospitality Industry and three years in the Banking Industry. He started his career in hospitality in 1989 at the Intercontinental Hotel Sydney. Exposure to all aspects of hotel operations laid the foundation for Robbie's growth into the operations role, including, Rooms Division Management, Human Resources, Sales Management and finally Operations. He took over as the General Manager of the Great Southern Hotel in 2004. Drawing from his comprehensive knowledge and contacts within domestic and in-bound leisure markets, he has the potential to contribute to the growth of GMT Hotel Holdings. Robbie is responsible for driving sales through the development and implementation of retail, trade and wholesale marketing initiatives, business development and staff management.
Syed Irfan
Chief Financial Officer, The Great Southern Hotel Group
Post Graduate with an Australian MBA in International Business, Graduate in Engineering, and a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA), Syed Irfan has had a passion for the development of hotels since childhood. He began his illustrious career in India with the construction of the Oberoi Hotel, which eventually led him into the management of hotels.
In 1996, Syed's expertise was called upon for the development of the heritage-listed Great Southern Hotel in Sydney, Australia. This pivotal project marked the beginning of his deep connection with Sydney, which he now considers his new home. Following the successful completion of the Great Southern Hotel, Syed joined the Pacific International Hotel Group (now known as the Mantra Hotel Group), where he took on the role of Financial Controller at the Great Southern Hotel.
Throughout his career, Syed has applied his extensive knowledge in operations, training, and people management to his roles, consistently driving success and innovation in the hospitality sector. As a key advisor to GMT Hotel Holdings, he plays an instrumental role in new acquisitions, significantly contributing to the growth and enhancement of the Asset Management Portfolio.
Syed's multifaceted qualifications in Engineering, Accounting (CPA), and Business Management (MBA) uniquely position him to identify efficiencies in hotel management, reduce overhead costs, and implement automation across organizations to achieve optimal effectiveness. His strategic vision and leadership continue to propel the Great Southern Hotel Group toward sustainable growth and excellence in the hospitality industry.
